Then you might be our new Managing Director for Komp.

Komp is the one-button computer that bridges the communication gap between those that struggle to use modern day technology, and their more tech-savvy family and friends.

Joining our group leadership team and reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for building and leading the Komp business unit. This is a new role so there is an opportunity to shape it and make it your own.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building, leading and growing a motivated and successful Komp business unit team
• Setting a sustainable and profitable commercial strategy for Komp
• Deciding on and implementing a sustainable business model, to make sure we offer the right level of support for our users in both B2C and B2B segments
• Allocating resources and budgets to ensure we reach our company targets for Komp
• Reporting on KPIs and progress against revenue and customer satisfaction goals
• Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including commercial partnerships that increase the brand awareness and sales
• Acting as the figurehead for Komp externally and internally
• Ensuring that the Komp business unit supports the company’s overall strategy and goals

Working as a Komp Managing Director, no two days will be the same. You will play a crucial role in the further success of Komp, a product that is greatly valued by the families using it today.

We are No Isolation, a company dedicated to reducing loneliness and social isolation, run by 50 passionate changemakers, entrepreneurs, and technologists. Our journey started in 2015 in Oslo, Norway, where our headquarters are located. We work across Europe, with offices in Munich and London, and have exciting expansion plans.

We design and sell “warm technology” products that create genuine feelings of human connection and belonging for those who cannot physically be together due to illness, age, or distance.

We have two products on the market today. AV1 is a telepresence robot that acts as the child’s eyes, ears and voice in the classroom, and Komp is a device that lets digital children and grandchildren share photos, messages and video calls with their analogue grandparents. Both products have received praise from external researchers for increasing the life quality of their users.

About you

We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about our mission to reduce social isolation. You are a team player who likes working in a fast-paced environment.

• A proven track record of building and leading a high performing cross-functional team, successfully directing operations and allocating resources to deliver strategic goals
• An open minded and trust based management style
• E-commerce life cycle experience
• Understanding and experience of solution sales processes for B2B and B2C
• Deep analytical skills, and an ability to understand complexity and propose solutions
• P&L management experience and a strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

You will be happy to travel to the Oslo office regularly as that is where most of our team are based.

It would be nice if you have some experience of:

• Building and growing a successful and profitable business unit
• Working with charities / municipalities
• Leveraging a brand for consumer sales
